There's a worship song by Brooke Frasier called Hosanna. There is a stanza in one of the verses that says:
I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith
With selfless faith….
I really did see that tonight at Destiny Church. This was my church home's very first ever Wednesday night mid-week service. For various reasons, the biggest one being lack of proper facilities, we have always had the adult midweek service on Thursday nights and youth services on Wednesday nights… well, as my Destiny family knows, God has been up to something big, leavin' His fingerprints all over everything, and really showin' up and showin' off! We have now finished Phase 1 of our new building!!! There is now an awesome place for the teenagers of our church to worship while the adults are in the main auditorium… and let me tell you first hand: it is pretty flippin' sweet!
While next week is our first week in the new youth room, tonight the adults and youth worshipped together like never before. It was OFF THE HOOK! God's presence was so thick in that room tonight. I don't know… there's just something about a bunch of punk teens gathered together with those from the day of Flinstones and 8-tracks (grown-ups), shamelessly pouring their hearts out to God! It was amazing.
I am so excited to see where God is taking my youth group. I see us "rising up to take our place". Whether that be in our schools, on our sports teams, or with our friends…. We are ready.
The other part of that verse in Hosanna goes like this:
I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees
We're on our knees…
God has given America a revival. It's our job to take it and run with it. The Destiny Church Verge Youth have decide that we will take on that challenge. We will take our place and bring on a revival from God like the world's never seen!

We are… VERGE YOUTH!
(1 Timothy 4:12- We will not let anyone look down on us just because we are young…)
Hey, thanks for the comment on the blog. I had found your blog through a comment you left on Brody Harper's blog. I've been pretty quiet on the blogging front, so sorry if you continue to visit and find not too much going on. That will be changing soon however.
Thanks for the comment and keep proving the world wrong!
Oh and p.s. Good luck on that AP History. =/

Hey Jaymz! Wow that was an awesome blog:) I really agree with you on the stuff about us risig up and being a christian leader in our schools today...Which reminds me of something. I see you every day, and yeah we say hi and stuff, but I haven't really got to talk to you about what God's put on my heart to do and one thing about it is our part of it, but only if you choose to. God's really been telling me to start a girl's Bible study group with some of the girls in our school. One of the first(well actually I think it was the firt) people He said for me to ask was you, but He said that you would say "Well...I'd really love to do that. It sounds really cool. But I'm pretty busy with sporrts and church and school and everything. So He said that, obviously, I shouldn't have to force you but that if you really are interested to just trust God and know that He'll make room for it to happen and that He'll open girl's hearts that maybe you ask to want to do that. Ok so now you might think I'm crazy(which I probably am) but that's my heart and I really felt like I should share it with you. And again, don't feel forced to have to do this study. Do it out of what you want to do. But pray about it nd please pray for me so that I'll get some guidance on what boook I should do and exactly who I should ask. Thanks for takin the time to read this:) I love you and I'll see you at school! God bless:)
(Lex- Yeah i think you're crazy... and i like it. keep up the good work girl. and i am so bummed that i never see you at school.. hey, come talk to me and we'll get this thing goin'. love ya girlie! thx for being uch a good example!
